Founded by Peter Donaway in 2007, Bonded Seals Ltd have secured a highly regarded position in the bonded seals’ market particularly for customer service, price competitiveness and technical excellence.  All of which is supported by a joint venture with Progum Elastomer Technology Co, who have their own factories in China and Taiwan. Under the guidance of Peter, Progum have invested in new machines and tooling as well as adopting new methods of working at their factory in China to ensure manufacture of the highest quality seals at the lowest possible price. 

Ashton Seals are therefore delighted to announce that Peter Donaway is remaining as a director of Bonded Seals Ltd and will become a consultant to Ashton Seals Ltd.  Whilst he will also remain as Technical Director of Progum Elastomer Technology supporting the Ashton Seals vision of becoming the world’s leading Bonded Seals supplier. 

We are manufacturing standard and custom built bonded seals in many compounds and many washer materials including Stainless, Brass and Aluminium.

Bonded Seals are used mainly in high pressure systems, which are based on a metal gasket of rectangular section to which an elastomeric ring of trapezoidal section is bonded. The bursting forces are resisted by the metal ring which limits the deformation of the vulcanised rubber element. Bonded seals are available in Imperial & Metric sizes.

A further alternative is the Self Centering Bonded Seal which centrally locates to eliminate any offset. Very important when higher pressures are used.
